Picnic Sept. 10

We will gather at Vaughn's clubhouse in Augusta for our picnic at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10. This is a potluck lunch, the fraternity will provide the meats.

Feb. 18 mini-retreat at SLC

St. Anthony Secular Franciscans met around a dining room table in a retreat area of the Spiritual Life Center in Wichita Saturday, Feb. 18. Eight brothers and sisters discussed the Franciscan general constitutions, in addition to a period of fellowship. The discussion was followed by Mass and lunch.

St. Anthony SFO feeds the hungry

Sharon Meckenstock holds a check for $1,131 donated Dec. 10 to the Lord’s Pantry, a food ministry at St. Jude Parish in Wichita, by members of the St. Anthony Fraternity.  Meckenstock said the donations would feed Pantry patrons for about a month. From left are Antonio Ramirez, Christopher Riggs, Chet Kirby, Brian Berkemper, Adam Nguyen, Tony Barba, and Larry Menestrina. The donation was the culmination of the fraternity’s Christmas project.

Franciscans gather for mini-retreat

Members of the St. Anthony Fraternity Secular Franciscan Order gather for lunch after Mass and a mini-retreat Saturday, Aug. 27, at the Spiritual Life Center in Wichita. The mini-retreat was about relativism and the danger it poses to our culture.
