June 23 council meeting notes

The council discussed several activities planned in the next few months when it met Tuesday, June 23, in St. Anthony Church's Sunshine Room.

Here is, briefly, what was discussed:

• Jean Marie will be welcomed at the July 12 regular meeting. She is currently in Guatemala visiting her daughter at a health ministry.
• A note was sent on behalf of the fraternity to Father Pham for all of his help. He will become pastor at Wellington on July 1. The council will also connect, when possible, with his successor, Father Ben Nguyen.
• Although Brother Dick Ruth isn't able to attend our meetings, we are going to attempt to connect him at our next regular meeting via Skype. The council is researching the strength of the signal and permission to use the church's wifi.
• Please make a note on your calendars to attend the talk about Bonaventure from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, at the Spiritual Life Center. The cost of the dinner and talk is $15.
• Details about the Midwest Catholic Family Conference and the cookout at Vaughn's will be shared at July 12 meeting.
