October 4 meeting

What a wonderful meeting we had on Sunday, Oct. 4!

Dr. Tony Barba, a retired physician, joined us for initial inquiry and has expressed his desire to begin inquiry. Please pray for him. We also had some wonderful testimonials during our initial inquiry.

Because we have one new and one relatively new inquirer, Vaughn has suggested we return to chapter 1 of our initial formation book. In addition, for initial formation, please review "The Franciscan Family, a Brief Introduction," by Robert Fitzsimmons, SFO. It starts on page 107 on the FUN manual .pdf. For ongoing formation, we will discuss Pope Francis' address to Congress. A link to his speech is available in the blog entry below.

Our SFO mini-retreat has been scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at the Spiritual Life Center. Please put that on your calendars.

Please don't forget we are still shooting for a goal of $1,000 for our Christmas project – turkey dinners for families in need. We have the Nov. 1 and Dec. 6 meetings to attain that goal.
